Mangal Lakshmi 8th September 2024: The episode begins with an intense moment between Sowmya and Adit. Sowmya sends a message to Adit, warning him that if he doesn’t come to meet her, she will come to his house immediately. However, Adit is preoccupied with a pooja (prayer) ceremony with his family and is unable to respond or visit her. The weight of his situation clearly shows on his face, and he appears torn between his responsibilities and his secret relationship.
Later that night, Adit finds himself in deep contemplation. In a troubled state of mind, he stands on the balcony and considers jumping off. However, when he looks down and realizes the height, he hesitates. The moment hints at Adit’s emotional turmoil, but he pulls himself back from making any drastic decisions.
The next morning, Kusum tries to lift the spirits of Mangal. She asks Mangal to forget the tensions from the previous day and focus on positive thoughts. Mangal, still recovering from her fasting ritual, agrees with Kusum and takes her advice to heart.
Adit soon enters the scene, informing Kusum that he has an important meeting with a client at the office. However, before he can leave, Kusum stops him and reminds him to break Mangal’s fast before going. Following tradition, Adit blesses Mangal and offers her water with his hands. He performs the ritual with genuine care, which brings a smile to Mangal’s face. Kusum then asks Mangal to fetch some fruit, and she obliges, leaving the room.
Kusum uses the opportunity to make a quick phone call to Sudesh. Meanwhile, Adit receives a call from someone and makes arrangements to meet at Sunshine Cafe. Kusum overhears his conversation and becomes suspicious, wondering why he would go to a cafe when he had claimed he needed to be at the office. The seeds of doubt grow in her mind, and she decides to follow him to uncover the truth.
Kusum informs Mangal that she will be back shortly and leaves to trail Adit. Meanwhile, Mangal receives a call from Lakshmi. Lakshmi asks if Mangal has broken her fast, to which Mangal replies positively. Lakshmi then takes a jab at Sowmya, saying it’s good that Kusum has thrown her out of the house, and makes a few more negative remarks about her.
As Kusum follows Adit, her phone rings. It is Shanti on the line, warning Kusum that if she doesn’t resolve the matter between Sowmya and Adit soon, Shanti will step in and take control. Kusum grows anxious, hoping that Adit won’t betray her trust. Mangal tries calling Kusum as well, but her calls go unanswered.
Kusum finally arrives at Sunshine Cafe and spots Adit conversing with a client. She breathes a sigh of relief, thinking that she may have misunderstood the situation. However, as soon as Adit sees Kusum, he becomes alarmed and questions her presence at the cafe.
A flashback sequence then reveals what had happened earlier. As Adit entered the cafe, he greeted Sowmya. But just as they were about to converse, Adit noticed Kusum in the background. A stranger in front of him was taking a selfie, which alerted Adit to Kusum’s presence. Realizing that she might discover the truth, Adit swiftly signaled Sowmya to leave.
Returning to the present, Kusum casually lies to Adit, saying she came to the cafe because the kids wanted a milkshake. She then asks Adit what he is doing there. Adit, in response, explains that his client requested to meet at the cafe. Kusum, still suspicious, brings up Sowmya’s name, but Adit firmly denies having seen or spoken to Sowmya since the previous day. He promises that he will go to the office directly after the meeting. Kusum, still unsure, lets it go for the time being.
Meanwhile, at home, Lakshmi has her own issues to deal with. Karthik tries to give her water to break her fast, but Lakshmi insists that he should break his fast first. Gayatri, on the other hand, reminds Lakshmi that Karthik took his medication in front of her. However, Lakshmi remains unconvinced, accusing Karthik of deceiving her by spitting the water out of his mouth after she left the room. This creates a moment of tension, but Karthik stands firm, saying that if women can fast, men can too.
Back at the cafe, Kusum sees Sowmya outside and calls out to her. In a surprising twist, Kusum reveals that despite her anger the previous day, she now understands that Sowmya’s actions stem from her desire to marry the man she loves. Kusum even offers to meet Sowmya’s boyfriend and arrange their marriage, leaving Sowmya surprised yet pleased. Kusum asks her to bring her boyfriend home by 7:30 p.m. Mangal, who overhears this conversation through Kusum’s phone, is left confused by the sudden change in Kusum’s attitude.
