In today’s episode of Maati Se Bandhi Dor, which aired on 10th September 2024, the focus is on the much-anticipated Ganpati puja in the household. The tension builds as Sulekha expresses her concerns about Ranvijay’s timely arrival for the ritual. She questions whether he will be able to come, mentioning that he had plans with Vaiju for the day. Sulekha even suggests that it isn’t necessary for only Ranvijay to place the Ganpati idol, and that Jaikant could take his place if needed.
However, Rao Sahab remains steadfast in tradition and replies firmly that Ranvijay is the one who must place the idol. He reassures Sulekha by saying that if Ranvijay promised to come, then he will definitely arrive on time. Despite his confidence, Sulekha remains skeptical and adds, “What if he doesn’t come?” This further increases the tension in the room. Vasundara, sensing the unease, asks Jaya to call Ranvijay to confirm his arrival. However, Jaya reveals that both Ranvijay and Vaiju had their phones stolen, leaving everyone in a bit of uncertainty about whether they will make it on time.
Just as the doubts begin to escalate, Ranvijay and Vaiju arrive with the Ganpati idol, much to everyone’s relief. They also bring Rohan home with them, creating a joyful moment. As they walk in, Ranvijay stumbles slightly while holding the idol, but Rao Sahab and Rohan quickly come to his aid, ensuring the idol remains safe. The family members, now united, proceed to perform the Ganpati puja together. It is a beautiful and significant moment, as the entire household takes part in the ritual.
During the puja, Ranvijay and Jaya are performing the rituals, but Vaiju, always the perfectionist, steps in to correct Jaya’s actions, ensuring that everything is done properly. The family then comes together to perform the aarti, with Ranvijay smiling throughout the ceremony. However, Vaiju is lost in thought, remembering Ranvijay’s words from an earlier conversation. As the ceremony progresses, Ranvijay takes a significant step and fills Jaya’s maang (forehead) with sindoor, symbolizing his commitment to their marriage. Vaiju smiles at the sight, appreciating the moment of unity between the couple.
After the ceremony, Jaya reflects on the events and tells Ranvijay that while it was important he brought the idol and Rohan home on time, it wasn’t perfect. She adds that it would have been perfect if they had all brought the idol together as they had originally planned. Vaiju silently prays for peace and happiness in everyone’s lives.
Later, Ranvijay approaches Jaya to apologize for his actions. He acknowledges the stress he has been under, but Jaya is quick to remind him that she’s tired of hearing his apologies. She calmly tells him that while one good thing has come out of the situation—their relationship has grown stronger—he needs to be more careful going forward. She tells him not to create situations where he ends up hurting her again. As he leaves, Jaya quietly reassures herself that she trusts him completely, but she hopes he will avoid putting her in difficult situations in the future.
Meanwhile, Vasundara is seen preparing a special Rangoli, but due to a backache, she is unable to complete it. She asks Vaiju who will finish it, and Vaiju suggests that Jaya should take over. As Jaya is having mehendi applied to her hands by Ragini, she expresses her wish that the mehendi color turns out dark, signifying the depth of her love and relationship. Vaiju, in a moment of reflection, mentions that love makes everything more beautiful, but quickly dismisses her comment when Jaya questions her.
Vasundara, concerned about the Rangoli, asks Jaya who will complete it, to which Rohan eagerly volunteers. Vaiju supports the idea, noting that Rohan is talented and could certainly handle the task. Vasundara agrees but expresses her concern, saying that while Rohan made a beautiful Ganpati idol, Rangoli is a different art form altogether. Rohan confidently assures her that he can do it, mentioning that his mother used to make Rangolis, and he will make it as beautiful as she did.
True to his word, Rohan creates a beautiful Rangoli. However, Sulekha disapproves of Rohan, an outsider, making the Rangoli for the puja and expresses her frustration. She goes so far as to insult Rohan and Vaiju, calling them orphans. Vaiju is quick to defend herself and Rohan, and the two get into a heated argument. Rohan steps in, asking Sulekha not to speak to Vaiju in such a harsh manner. At that moment, Vasundara intervenes, telling Sulekha to stop speaking ill of others. Sulekha warns Vasundara that bringing outsiders into the home will lead to regret one day.
In the precap, tensions rise as Ranvijay discusses his plans to give Jaya’s sugar mill a new brand value. Jaya overhears this and assumes that Ranvijay intends to make her the face of the mill’s ad campaign. However, in a twist, Ranvijay seems to have other plans, as he thinks of making Vaiju the face of the campaign instead. How will this affect the relationships in the household? Only time will tell!
