Jhanak 13th September 2024 Written Update:The episode opens with Appu’s family warmly welcoming both Appu and Lalan into their new home. Kajal, Appu’s cousin, is visibly tired and requests her aunt for some rest since she has to attend school the next day. However, her request is met with opposition from Lalan and his mother. Lalan suggests that they should celebrate with a party for the next few days, a proposal that irks Kajal.
Despite her annoyance, Appu decides to comply with the house’s customs and performs the traditional girahpravesh (entry) ritual, which marks her official entry into the household. This ritual brings smiles to the faces of the onlookers, though Kajal remains unhappy.
As tensions rise, a new complication arises when Lalan’s cousin demands money, threatening not to allow him into the house unless it is paid. Lalan complains to his mother, who, along with Appu, persuades him to comply with the cousin’s demands. Meanwhile, Kajal’s attempts to leave are thwarted, and a neighbor’s comment about Appu’s health creates an uneasy situation.
The neighbor mentions that Appu seems like a normal person despite rumors of her health issues. Lalan is grateful for this support and praises Appu’s nature, which only fuels Kajal’s frustration. She taunts Lalan, criticizing his lack of understanding towards Appu.
The episode continues with Lalan’s mother urging Appu to complete the remaining ritual ceremonies. Despite Appu’s fatigue, she agrees, as it is an important tradition. Kajal’s persistent attempts to leave are again blocked by Lalan and his mother, who convince her to stay. Lalan then reassures Appu about the small size of their home, expressing concern about her comfort. Appu responds positively, stating that the house is hers too, and assures him she will manage. This statement makes everyone around them happy.
Kajal, however, tries to cause trouble during the post-wedding rituals, but Appu skillfully manages the situation by persuading her to stay until the completion of the ceremonies. This intervention highlights Appu’s diplomatic approach and her desire to maintain harmony.
The next day, Jhanak arrives at Lalan’s house with Chhoton, bringing important news. She announces her decision to move to Mumbai for work-related commitments. Jhanak advises Lalan to investigate the individuals who had previously sabotaged him and obstructed his search for the truth. While Lalan initially focuses on his personal life, his mother insists he follow Jhanak’s advice, leading Lalan to agree to take on the investigation.
The conversation shifts to Appu, who is preparing with Kajal, much to the surprise of Jhanak and Chhoton. They are pleased to hear from Lalan’s mother that she will not ask Appu to change herself, viewing Appu as a daughter rather than just a daughter-in-law.
Aniruddha’s arrival at Lalan’s house introduces further dynamics. Jhanak playfully teases Mrinalini and Chhoton, while also expressing her disappointment over Appu’s upset feelings about her absence from the wedding. When Appu arrives, she voices her sadness about not seeing her mother. Chhoton suggests waiting for her parents, and Jhimli is sent to fetch Meghla and her sister.
When Meghla and her sister arrive, they discuss Jhanak’s participation in a reality show, where she was a runner-up. Jhanak subtly mocks Aniruddha by mentioning that his wife won the competition, causing him to feel uncomfortable. Meghla then offers to sing a song for Jhanak, who won’t be able to attend the evening ceremony. She also requests Jhanak to perform a dance, which Jhanak hesitates to do but eventually agrees to after some persuasion.
