The episode of Kumkum Bhagya on 17 August 2024, begins with Monisha and Jassi in a tense conversation. Monisha reminds Jassi that although they are different individuals, they share the same fate and are essentially “sailing in the same boat.” She warns him that if anything goes wrong, she will ensure that all the blame falls on her, clearing her name.
Jassi, feeling threatened by her words, tries to calm himself down, reminding himself that Monisha doesn’t truly understand him. He remarks that if it weren’t for Poorvi, he would have responded more harshly to her and sarcastically advises her to stick to her “lotion skin.” Monisha, in turn, asks if he understood her point.
Jassi responds by saying that he knows two ways of dealing with situations: either directly and face-to-face or by breaking a person in a way they understand. Monisha, frustrated by his attitude, calls him “impossible.” Jassi retorts that he isn’t thrilled to see her either. Monisha continues to insult him, saying that he is classless and that money can’t buy class. She tells him to act properly in front of Lambu, which further annoys him.
The scene shifts as someone knocks on the door. RV, thinking it might be Poorvi, steps out of his room. Meanwhile, Neha contemplates leaving the place, thinking Monisha and Jassi might be outside keeping an eye on her. Monisha arrives and starts talking to RV, thanking him and telling him that people will trust him now and won’t suspect him. She reveals that it was her doing, not Poorvi’s, that got Neha to come over.
RV, surprised, asks her why she didn’t mention this earlier. Monisha explains that she didn’t want to publicize her efforts like Poorvi did. She claims she did it out of care for him, even though it was risky, especially after Harman uncle was locked up because of Poorvi. She emphasizes that she did it for RV’s respect and image.

Deepika, another character in the scene, comments on how much Monisha loves RV. She tells RV that if Monisha hadn’t called Neha, things would have been worse. RV agrees. Monisha then mentions that she should go home. RV offers to call a driver for her, but Monisha asks if he will drop her off himself. Deepika interjects, saying RV would have dropped her, but the media is outside. She advises RV to rest. Monisha, before leaving, reassures RV that she is with him for life and won’t let anything happen to him. She hugs him and leaves.
Neha, on the other hand, is feeling cornered, thinking that Monisha and Jassi have kept a watch on her, leaving her no escape. As someone knocks on her door, she fears it might be Jassi and prepares to defend herself with a knife. However, when she opens the door, she is relieved to see Sahil. Overwhelmed with emotion, she hugs him. Sahil notices the knife and asks why she was holding it. Neha explains that she was scared.
Sahil reassures her, telling her that no one can harm her while he’s around. He mentions that he was heading to Bangalore for a meeting but decided to check on her before leaving. He then notices her packed bag and asks if she was planning to go somewhere. Neha, still feeling uneasy, admits that she was scared and was considering leaving. Sahil comforts her, telling her not to be afraid.
Poorvi returns home, where she is immediately confronted by Monisha. Monisha questions where she had been, and Poorvi replies that she had gone to her mother’s house to calm them down since they were angry with her. Monisha accuses Poorvi of seeking praise by organizing a press conference, but Poorvi counters by asking if Monisha is upset because she wanted to be the one to save RV.
Monisha denies this, claiming that she isn’t like Poorvi and reminds her that they haven’t won the case yet, implying that Poorvi shouldn’t be so confident. Poorvi, however, remains optimistic and asserts that they will win the case. Monisha, feeling frustrated, remarks that Poorvi is talking too much. Poorvi, in turn, passionately declares that she will find and expose the person responsible for tarnishing her husband’s name.

She emphasizes the strength of a wife’s love and how it should not be underestimated, comparing herself to the mythological figure Savitri, who fought against death for her husband.
As Poorvi leaves, Monisha stands there fuming. Deepika approaches Monisha, advising her to protect herself and solidify her position, as Poorvi is inadvertently becoming a stronger contender. Deepika reminds Monisha of her original goal to become RV’s protector, but notes that Poorvi is now fulfilling that role, garnering all the love and admiration.
She suggests that RV might even prefer Poorvi over Monisha, as Poorvi was there for him when he needed someone the most. Deepika urges Monisha to act quickly if she wants to secure her place. Monisha, determined, declares that RV will soon stand by her and acknowledge that he wouldn’t have overcome his troubles without her. She tells Deepika to wait and watch what happens next.
Meanwhile, Sahil tells Neha that he doesn’t want to leave for his meeting and would rather stay with her. Neha reassures him, telling him not to worry about her. Sahil expresses his deep affection for Neha, telling her that she is his life and that he will always be with her. Neha instructs him to look for her at their safe place if she ever gets scared and needs to hide. Sahil agrees and leaves, but Neha is still unsettled and decides that she cannot stay there much longer.
The episode concludes with Poorvi returning home again, only to find RV standing in their room. Surprised, she tells him she didn’t expect to see him there. RV playfully teases her, asking if she expected him to be waiting with a bouquet of flowers. Poorvi denies this, and RV continues to joke, pretending to be self-obsessed and miserly. Poorvi, still playful, explains that she was just joking around with Diya earlier.
RV then asks Poorvi what she really thinks of him. She replies that she has already told him before. RV, teasingly, asks if she said it in her dreams and suggests that she dreams about him. Poorvi, finally serious, tells him that she respects him a lot and that he is like an angel to her. RV, satisfied with her response, reveals that he recorded her words. Poorvi, feeling tricked, demands the recording, but RV refuses to give it to her.

A playful chase ensues, with Poorvi throwing pillows at him and eventually hitting him in the face. RV, laughing, takes back his phone. As they fall onto the bed together, Yug enters the room, sees them, and smiles before quietly leaving. The scene ends with RV and Poorvi sharing a moment of lightheartedness and affection.
In the precap, Jassi accuses someone of betraying him by running away, while RV questions Poorvi about the tears and smile on her face. Poorvi reveals that she dropped Nethra at the bus depot and that she is gone. Meanwhile, Neha regains consciousness, only to find herself in the captivity of Jassi and Monisha.
