Kundali Bhagya 20 August 2024 Written Update: In the episode of “Kundali Bhagya” that aired on August 20, 2024, the tension and drama reached new heights as Varun continued his menacing actions against Preeta and Kavya. The episode began with Varun making a chilling threat to Kavya. He warned her that if she didn’t follow his instructions, he would kill Preeta. Kavya was horrified as she saw the glass box, where Preeta was trapped, starting to fill with water. Preeta was still unconscious, and the sight of water rising around her left Kavya in a state of shock and fear.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Rakhi arrived to file a missing person report. She explained to the Inspector that they had been trying to reach Preeta, but she wasn’t answering their calls. Bani Dadi mentioned that Kavya had told Palki she was with her fiancé. The Inspector initially assumed that Kavya might have gone out to enjoy herself with her fiancé, dismissing the seriousness of the situation.
Rakhi, however, was adamant that something was wrong and insisted that the Inspector take their concerns seriously. Gurpreet added that Preeta had also been kidnapped, further alarming Rakhi, who then explained to the Inspector that Preeta was her daughter-in-law but couldn’t remember anything from her past. The Inspector, realizing the gravity of the situation, assured them that he would take action. Rakhi felt strongly that Preeta and Kavya were together and that Varun was involved in their disappearance. The family decided to join the Inspector in the search, determined to find Preeta and Kavya.
At the warehouse, Kavya was very worried. She desperately called out to Preeta, trying to wake her up. Seeing the water rising in the glass box, she attempted to break the glass with a rod, but it was of no use. Varun, along with his accomplices, including Sanjana, watched with satisfaction as Kavya struggled. Suddenly, Preeta started to regain consciousness. She slowly moved her feet and eventually woke up, only to find herself surrounded by water.

She was terrified, and Kavya felt a momentary relief seeing her awake. However, the relief was short-lived as Preeta realized the danger she was in. Varun, with a twisted smile, referred to Preeta as his future mother-in-law and made it clear that he had no good intentions.
In another part of the story, Nidhi was seen entering a room where Shaurya, her son, was drunk. Nidhi was frustrated with Shaurya’s constant drinking, especially when she needed his support. She realized she hadn’t checked with Anshuman Panday about whether he had killed Preeta yet. Nidhi called Anshuman, reminding him of his promise to kill Preeta. Anshuman assured her that he never forgets his promises and would check on the situation. However, as Nidhi was on the call, she noticed Shaurya standing at the door, and she worried that he might have overheard the conversation.
Back in the warehouse, Preeta managed to stand up while Sanjana helped Kavya prepare for the forced wedding with Varun. The situation was dire as one of the goons set up benches so that Kavya could clearly see her mother trapped in the glass box during the wedding ceremony. Preeta, still trapped, called out to Kavya, pleading with her to stop the wedding and get her out of the box. Varun, however, continued to mock Preeta and Kavya, explaining that he enjoyed seeing others in pain and that he was determined to marry Kavya, using Preeta’s life as leverage.
As the wedding preparations continued, Varun made it clear to Preeta that if Kavya didn’t marry him, he would kill her. Kavya, caught between fear and desperation, pleaded with Varun to stop the water that was still rising in the glass box. Varun coldly informed her that the water would only stop once the container was full. He then ordered the Pandit to start the wedding rituals, making sure the ceremony would be completed quickly.
Amidst all this, Palki, who was in the car with Karan, received a text message from Kavya. The message revealed that Kavya and Preeta were being held by Varun in a warehouse near the Kantiwari locality. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Karan and Rajveer prepared to find and rescue them.
