The episode of Jagriti aired on September 23, 2024, begins with intense tension. Durjan confronts Jagriti, setting a harsh condition for Harish’s treatment. He tells her that if she wants Harish to receive medical attention, she must become a “Chitta” and eat meat. Jagriti is shocked by this demand, but Mangala urges her to agree, pushing her toward Durjan’s condition. After a moment of hesitation, Jagriti agrees to go along with it.
As soon as Jagriti agrees, Nanda steps forward. Seeing Jagriti’s decision, she quickly instructs Vaidya Ji to start Harish’s treatment. Durjan takes the opportunity to announce that there will be a celebration because Jagriti is about to become a Chitta. He seems pleased with the turn of events, wasting no time in arranging a meal filled with non-vegetarian dishes for Jagriti to eat. The atmosphere becomes tense as everyone anticipates what will happen next.
Meanwhile, Harish regains consciousness. Confused, he immediately asks Mangala about Jagriti’s whereabouts. Mangala coldly informs him that Durjan has turned Jagriti into a Chitta, and from that moment on, Jagriti will live the life of a Chitta. Harish is deeply troubled by this news, remembering the promise he once made to his wife Geeta. He had vowed that their daughter would never live as a Chitta and would live her life freely, on her own terms. Determined to stop this, Harish rushes to find Jagriti.
Back at the celebration, Nanda is preparing to feed the non-vegetarian food to Jagriti. She encourages Jagriti to eat, but Jagriti hesitates, clearly uncomfortable with what she is about to do. Just then, Harish arrives on the scene and immediately tells Jagriti not to eat the meat. He knows how much this act goes against her wishes.
Jagriti tries to go to her father, but Nanda stops her. She reminds Jagriti that she had made a promise to eat the meat to ensure that Harish’s treatment would continue. Faced with this difficult decision, Jagriti agrees to go through with it for her father’s sake.
But Harish is not ready to give up. He steps forward and tells Jagriti that she doesn’t need to do this. He promises her that he will start earning money himself, ensuring that she won’t have to live as a Chitta. Jagriti looks at her father, asking if he is serious. Harish firmly assures her that he will keep his word. Mangala, however, doubts Harish’s sudden change, questioning how he can work when he’s still recovering. Ballu, seeing an opportunity to humiliate Harish, brings up his past struggles with alcohol, mocking him in front of everyone.
To make matters worse, Ballu holds up a bottle of alcohol, taunting Harish. But Harish surprises everyone. He takes the bottle from Ballu’s hand and breaks it, boldly declaring that he has given up drinking. Harish asks for everyone’s trust, telling them that he is committed to changing for the sake of his daughter.
Durjan, watching all of this unfold, agrees to stop forcing Jagriti to eat the non-vegetarian food. However, he sets a new condition. He wants Harish to prove himself by becoming the man he was eight years ago, before his downward spiral. Harish accepts the challenge without hesitation. As everyone leaves the room, Ballu begins to worry. If Harish has truly changed, Ballu fears it will spell trouble for him. Determined to protect his interests, Ballu decides to visit Kalikant to discuss the situation.
Back at home, Harish realizes that there is no vegetarian food prepared for Jagriti. He tells Mangala that, from now on, Jagriti will eat whatever she likes. Mangala mocks Harish’s decision but leaves the room without argument. Fortunately, Bindi steps in to help. She offers Jagriti some milk and even volunteers to make Kheer, knowing it’s Jagriti’s favorite dish. Harish feels a pang of guilt. He realizes that, in his drunken stupor, he never even knew what his daughter liked to eat. Determined to make amends, Harish decides to prepare the Kheer himself.
As Harish feeds Jagriti the Kheer, he notices a small eyelash falling from her eye. He asks her to make a wish. Jagriti is confused, asking why she should make a wish over something so small. Harish explains that Geeta once told him that when an eyelash falls, it means God is giving them a chance to make a wish.
Jagriti closes her eyes and makes a wish. She wishes for her mother to return to her, revealing the depth of her pain. She also shares that Mangala always blames her for her mother’s death. Jagriti admits that these words hurt her deeply. Harish, trying to comfort his daughter, reassures her that none of this is her fault.
The episode ends with Harish holding Jagriti, promising to be a better father and to never let her suffer again.
