The episode opened with Suman angrily declaring to Chandrakant, “You may be the king of snacks, but your daughter-in-law is a thief.” She accused Devika of dishonesty, leaving everyone shocked. Chandrakant defended Devika, warning Suman to be mindful of her words as they were in his house. However, Gupta joined Suman in questioning Devika’s integrity.
Despite their harsh words, Suman stood her ground. She reminded everyone that she too was someone’s daughter and that she had a right to defend her honesty. She expressed that, just like Devika, she felt hurt when her character was being questioned. Suman demanded to know how Devika had managed to arrange the food so quickly and which catering service agreed to take on the job within 30 minutes. Suman suspected foul play and felt it was crucial to uncover the truth.
Devika, on the other hand, denied any wrongdoing. She explained that she hadn’t done anything wrong and didn’t deserve to be accused like this. Suman wasn’t convinced, asking how Devika was able to arrange such a large order in such a short time. Suman believed that Devika’s actions had damaged the family business. She pointed out that her business venture with them had been ruined before it even began.
Teerth, another family member, echoed Suman’s sentiments, stating that Suman had the right to clear her name, especially when her hard work and honesty were being questioned. Suman demanded an opportunity to prove herself, insisting that she deserved a fair chance.
Chandrakant, while trying to maintain balance, asked Devika to explain her side of the story. He trusted her but reminded her that when someone’s livelihood is at stake, explanations were necessary. Gupta, however, seemed infuriated and questioned why Chandrakant was supporting Devika. As the situation escalated, Devika noticed Gulshan lurking nearby, fearing that he would expose her secret.
Suman then directed her attention toward Gupta, pointing out that he had two daughters. She asked him how he could speak so disrespectfully about another woman. The engagement ceremony for Gupta’s daughter was happening that day, and the atmosphere was growing tense. At this point, Devika finally decided to confront the accusations head-on. She admitted to having given an order to the caterers but insisted that they should be questioned for further details.
Chandrakant called upon the caterers to clarify the situation. When the caterers arrived, they revealed that it was a man who had placed the order, not Devika. This revelation shocked everyone, and Suman demanded the contact details of the person responsible. At this moment, Gulshan, fearing exposure, attempted to leave. However, Teerth quickly caught him, and in a surprising move, Suman threw a coconut at Gulshan’s head, stopping him in his tracks.
Teerth recognized Gulshan as the landlord of Suman’s house, further complicating the situation. Devika then tried to shift the blame, saying that Gulshan had personal issues with Suman and had stolen the food to take revenge. She claimed that Suman was wrongly accusing her of being involved in the theft.
Chandrakant continued to support Devika, but Suman was not convinced. She questioned how Devika had known that Gulshan would be able to prepare the same menu and deliver it within 30 minutes. This led to Devika admitting that she had hired Gulshan to investigate Suman’s background. Gulshan had offered her catering services at a lower price, but she initially refused as her father-in-law had already given the order to Suman. When the situation escalated, Devika reluctantly accepted Gulshan’s offer, not realizing that he might steal the food.
Teerth then asked Devika why she didn’t reach out to another caterer, and she explained that no other business agreed to deliver within the short time frame. Devika defended her actions, saying that as the daughter-in-law, it was her responsibility to protect the family’s reputation.
As tensions reached their peak, Suman called the police. Despite the engagement ceremony taking place, Suman insisted that it was necessary to report Gulshan’s actions. Teerth supported her decision, explaining that it was not uncommon for the police to attend a minister’s family gathering. The episode ended with Suman filing a formal complaint against Gulshan, leaving the family divided and Devika still under suspicion.
