The episode of Maati Se Bandhi Dor 5 September 2024, opens with Vasundhara preparing for the upcoming festival. She gives Vaiju a list of items to be brought from the market, including ghee, which is essential for making Prasad. Vaiju agrees and promises to return with the items as soon as possible. Meanwhile, both Rannvijay and Jaya happen to be in the same market where Vaiju is headed, but they miss seeing each other.
As Vaiju hurries to complete her errands, the scene shifts to Rannvijay’s house, where there is a knock at the door. Vasundhara answers it and finds the same young artist boy who had made the Ganesh idol for the orphanage. The boy is warmly welcomed inside, and as he steps into the house, Rao Saheb receives news that after seventeen years, there has still been no success in finding Pramila’s son. This news weighs heavily on Rao Saheb, but Vasundhara’s focus remains on hosting the boy.
Back at the market, Rannvijay is seen trying to cheer up Jaya, who appears upset. Despite his playful efforts, she remains distant. In a bid to lighten the mood, Rannvijay picks up a large clown figure and uses it as a prop to ask for Jaya’s forgiveness. His antics work, and soon the two share a heartfelt hug, to the applause of the onlookers. However, Vaiju, who is nearby, sees this affectionate moment between Rannvijay and Jaya and feels disheartened.
While Vasundhara is inside the house, she offers the young artist boy some snacks and checks a list sent by the orphanage. Meanwhile, Vaiju, who is hiding from Rannvijay and Jaya to avoid any awkward encounters, overhears a conversation between a shopkeeper and another person. The shopkeeper mentions how he had cheated Rannvijay and Jaya by taking their money twice. This angers Vaiju, but she continues with her task.
Rannvijay and Jaya notice a custom couple photoshoot booth at the market and decide to have their pictures taken. However, Vaiju, still upset over what she overheard, decides to take matters into her own hands. She collects some items from the same shop where Rannvijay and Jaya were cheated and leaves without paying. When confronted by the shopkeeper, Vaiju scolds him for his dishonesty and justifies her actions by saying that the amount she took is equal to what he swindled from Rannvijay and Jaya.
The story takes an emotional turn when the young artist boy at Rannvijay’s house sees a picture of his mother in his wallet. His mother, it turns out, is Rao Saheb’s lover, and Rao Saheb recognizes the picture as well. He reminisces about how he has tried for years to find their son but has always come up short.
Back at the market, Rannvijay and Jaya are preparing for their couple photoshoot. While Jaya gets dressed, Rannvijay heads off to check on something. At this moment, the shopkeeper who was scolded by Vaiju attempts to misbehave with her. In a heated confrontation, Vaiju ends up fighting off several shopkeepers. She handles the situation alone for a while, but just as one of the men is about to strike her from behind, Rannvijay steps in and protects her by beating the man.
Vaiju confronts the shopkeeper and demands that he return the money he cheated from Rannvijay and Jaya. Jaya, now ready for the photoshoot, notices that Rannvijay is missing and learns from another person in the market that he is involved in a fight. As she rushes to the scene, Vaiju mutters that she had hoped to teach the dishonest shopkeeper a lesson, but chaos erupted instead. When Rannvijay confronts Vaiju about the incident, she nervously admits that she thought he would be angry with her. However, to her surprise, Rannvijay thanks her for standing up for him and Jaya.
At this moment, Jaya arrives and, although relieved that Rannvijay intervened to save Vaiju, scolds him for leaving without informing her and for not bringing his phone. Jaya then insists that Vaiju join them for the couple photoshoot, but Vaiju declines, stating that she needs to finish her shopping for the Prasad. Rannvijay agrees with Vaiju, telling Jaya to let her complete her errands, and once everything is done, they will all head home together.
