Neelam, Rishi’s mother, receives a phone call and steps away from the conversation, leaving Lakshmi alone to express her concerns. Lakshmi, feeling inadequate, questions how she can fulfill this role when she sees herself as nothing more than an ordinary mother. Sandeep Mishra, however, insists that they are looking for someone who embodies the qualities of a complete woman, and in their eyes, Lakshmi fits this description perfectly.

She asks him why he didn’t voice any objections to Sandeep’s proposal. Rishi, munching on some makhana (a popular Indian snack), responds light-heartedly, noting that Lakshmi doesn’t seem to want to talk to him, but when he gives her space, she suddenly seeks him out. He assures her that he has never doubted her abilities and encourages her to share her feelings.
As they talk, Karishma, another family member, is having a conversation with Aanchal. Karishma, who has known Lakshmi for years, believes that Lakshmi’s hesitation is part of a strategy. She suspects that Lakshmi is playing a game, pretending to be reluctant so that Rishi will plead with her to accept the honor, only for her to refuse later and cause embarrassment for the family. She is furious and seething with jealousy, convinced that Lakshmi is once again playing her usual tricks. Malishka, along with Karishma and Aanchal, plots to ensure that Lakshmi leaves the house of her own accord, believing this is the only way to remove her from their lives.
As the children play in the house, Ayush and Rishi continue to praise Lakshmi, much to Karishma’s annoyance. Karishma, who is aligned with Malishka, is determined to see Lakshmi leave. Malishka, dreaming of taking Lakshmi’s place as Rishi’s wife, fantasizes about being the one to hoist the flag. She is also angry at Sandeep Mishra for mistakenly referring to her as a manager, which only fuels her determination to get rid of Lakshmi.
Malishka’s plan takes a dangerous turn as she reveals that she has hidden a lighter in the kitchen. She intends for Lakshmi to search for the lighter, unaware that gas is leaking from the stove. As Lakshmi searches, she begins to notice the smell of gas but assumes the stove is off. Aanchal, anxious about the plan, asks Malishka if Lakshmi will die. Malishka reassures her that Lakshmi will only get burnt, which will be enough to make her leave the house.
The tension escalates as Sandeep and the CM’s assistant continue their conversation, unaware of the danger brewing in the kitchen. Rishi, growing concerned about the delay in the tea being served, decides to check on Lakshmi. At this moment, Lakshmi finds the matchstick and prepares to light it, unaware of the gas filling the room.
