BhagyaLakshmi 20 August 2024 Written Update: The episode of Bhagya Lakshmi on August 20, 2024, begins with a tense atmosphere as Rishi becomes frantic, fearing that Lakshmi has met a tragic end. His love for Lakshmi is so deep that the thought of living without her becomes unbearable. He rushes back into the raging fire, determined to die if Lakshmi is gone. However, Malishka’s loud scream pulls him back to reality. She begs him to stop, but this turns out to be nothing more than a figment of her imagination. When she comes back to reality, she finds herself standing in the kitchen with Lakshmi.
Lakshmi, puzzled by Malishka’s scream, asks why she was shouting. Malishka, flustered, quickly makes up an excuse about seeing a cockroach and being scared, trying to hide her real fears. She then goes back to Aanchal and Karishma, who assure her that everything will be fine.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi focuses on her task, thinking of lighting the stove to prepare Malpua. Paro, curious to see if the Malpua is ready, heads to the kitchen. Just as Lakshmi lights a matchstick, a terrifying blast occurs. The kitchen is suddenly engulfed in flames, and Paro screams in horror, rushing toward Lakshmi. Her scream catches Rishi’s attention, who immediately runs to save Paro and pulls her away from the dangerous situation. Without wasting a moment, Rishi charges back into the blazing kitchen to rescue Lakshmi. Neelam, noticing the commotion and the panicked expressions of Malishka, Aanchal, and Karishma, rushes to see what is happening.

Rishi, with heroic determination, manages to carry Lakshmi out of the fire. Once outside, he urgently orders a servant to call the fire brigade, and Mukesh quickly follows through, making the call. Neelam is horrified when she sees the kitchen engulfed in flames and demands answers from Malishka. Meanwhile, Rishi takes Lakshmi to her room, worried about her condition. Despite his concern, Lakshmi assures him that she is fine.
However, their interaction quickly turns sour. Lakshmi, still hurt from past experiences, accuses Rishi of always sweet-talking people into trusting him, only to eventually break their hearts. She tells him that she doesn’t need his concern and bluntly asks him to leave her alone. Lakshmi makes it clear that she doesn’t want to be fooled by his pretense any longer. Paro, who overhears their heated exchange, decides to inform Harleen about what is happening.
Mukesh, concerned about Paro’s safety, informs Harleen and Ayush that Paro was near the kitchen when the fire broke out. This news alarms them, and they worry about Paro’s safety. However, when Paro arrives, she tells them that Rishi and Lakshmi are arguing like children. To Paro’s surprise, Harleen smiles and says that their argument is a good sign. When Paro questions her, Harleen explains that if they are fighting, it means that things between them are still normal.

On the other side, Neelam is furious with Malishka for her reckless actions. She chastises Malishka for endangering lives and firmly states that while they may want Lakshmi out of the house, they cannot resort to such dangerous measures. Neelam’s anger is palpable as she demands that they find a way to get rid of Lakshmi without causing her harm. Karishma tries to remind Neelam that she had instructed them to keep their plans a secret from her. Malishka, feeling cornered, pleads with Neelam, insisting that she is innocent. However, Neelam is in no mood to tolerate any further mistakes.
Rishi, tired of the constant fighting, urges Lakshmi to stop living in the past and consider moving forward. He suggests that they start fresh, but Lakshmi firmly refuses. She tells Rishi that she knows how cunning he can be and refuses to fall into his trap again. Lakshmi is adamant that his love is fake and that she will not be deceived by him anymore. Rishi, deeply hurt by her words, tries to explain that the wounds she is causing with her harsh words are unbearable. He begs her to stop hurting him, but Lakshmi, unyielding, asks him to give her advice on how she can hurt him even more to keep him away forever.
Aanchal tries to calm Neelam down, but Neelam remains deeply concerned. She admits that although she doesn’t like Lakshmi, she is even more worried because Paro was near the kitchen during the fire. Neelam emphasizes that while they may want to get rid of Lakshmi, they must ensure that Paro is not harmed in any way. Karishma is shocked by Neelam’s words, but Neelam stands firm, reminding them that Paro is Rishi and Lakshmi’s daughter and must be protected at all costs.
Harleen intervenes, stopping the escalating argument between Rishi and Lakshmi. Rishi apologizes, and Paro, with innocence, asks Lakshmi to thank Rishi for saving her life. Harleen and Ayush try to encourage Rishi and Lakshmi to reconcile. Meanwhile, Neelam tells everyone that Paro is the heir of their family and must be kept happy. Rohan also advises Rishi and Lakshmi to treat each other with respect. However, Malishka, feeling sidelined, warns Neelam not to give too much importance to Paro. Neelam, though, is resolute that Paro must not be harmed in any way, and Malishka reluctantly agrees.
