The episode of BhagyaLakshmi 5th September 2024, begins with Shalu and Rano having a tense conversation. Shalu confronts Rano, asserting that she is fully aware that Ayush is married. Rano, on the other hand, warns Shalu to stay away from Ayush, insinuating that being around him won’t lead to good outcomes. Shalu defends herself, stating that as Lakshmi’s sister, she would never engage in anything immoral, especially an extramarital affair with Ayush. Rano, however, remains skeptical, saying that Shalu’s words are just superficial and that she can see what’s really going on between her and Ayush. Rano hints that there might be more between them than what Shalu is willing to admit and leaves the conversation on a sharp note.
Meanwhile, Ayush is shown to be in a dilemma, wondering if he should call Shalu. His mind is racing with thoughts, but before he can act, Anushka walks into the room, causing him to drop his phone. Anushka picks it up and realizes that Ayush was about to call Shalu. This revelation leaves Ayush flustered, but he tries to downplay the situation, telling Anushka she is overthinking. Anushka, however, remains unconvinced and begins to worry about another woman entering her husband’s life, much like Malishka’s situation. At that very moment, Malishka enters and hears Anushka’s concerns.
Rishi notices that Ayush is troubled and asks him what’s bothering him. Ayush explains how, while dropping off Shalu and Rano, he felt guilty when Rano caught him looking at Shalu. Ayush admits to Rishi that he feels as though he has done something wrong, despite not crossing any lines. Rishi listens patiently and advises Ayush to be careful. He reminds Ayush not to get entangled in unnecessary drama, given how complicated their lives already are. Rishi’s advice seems to hit home for Ayush, who acknowledges the tangled web he is caught in.
Back in another part of the house, Malishka confronts Anushka, asking what she meant by her earlier comment about not wanting to be like Malishka. Anushka, clearly irritated, tells Malishka to drop the subject, as she’s already disturbed. Malishka, curious, presses Anushka further until she finally reveals her concerns about Shalu possibly destroying her marriage, just like Lakshmi ruined Malishka’s. Anushka then shares her plan with Malishka to take action against Shalu before things get out of hand. Malishka agrees with the plan, and they both conspire to remove Shalu from Ayush’s life.
Later, Rishi enters Lakshmi’s room and sees her sleeping. He gently puts a blanket over her and then lays beside her, only for Lakshmi to accidentally rest her head on his arm. The next day, Harleen is shown decorating the house for Janmashtami celebrations. She tells her family that a theater troupe will perform Krishna Leela at their house at her special request. Malishka, always seeking attention, falsely claims credit for organizing the event.
Meanwhile, Neelam, along with Rohan and Parvati, heads to Lakshmi’s room to bring her a special outfit for the Janmashtami Pooja. Lakshmi wakes up and is startled to see Rishi still in her room. In a panic, she quickly hides Rishi in the wardrobe just as Neelam enters. When Neelam hears a sneezing sound, she becomes suspicious, but Parvati cleverly hands a tissue to Lakshmi, suggesting that she sneeze. Neelam is satisfied and leaves the room, unaware that Rishi is hiding. Afterward, the kids, Rohan and Parvati, discover Rishi in the wardrobe and playfully ask why he’s hiding. Rishi quickly makes up a story, saying he was playing hide and seek with Lakshmi, and sends them on their way.

Rishi later questions Lakshmi about hiding him. Lakshmi explains that she was afraid of how Neelam would react if she found him in her room. Rishi, however, suggests that he should have just been honest with Neelam about what happened. He recounts how he came into her room at night and put a blanket over her because she was shivering, and she accidentally slept on his arm. Rishi confesses that he stayed beside her so her sleep wouldn’t be disturbed. Lakshmi is touched by his gesture, but Rishi leaves before they can discuss it further.
Meanwhile, Malishka becomes suspicious of Rishi’s whereabouts during the night. When she confronts him, Rishi lies, saying he slept in the study. Malishka, unconvinced, brings her mother, Kiran, to investigate the study, but Kiran observes that the room is too clean for anyone to have slept there. However, Kiran reassures Malishka that Rishi’s lie indicates he values their relationship, and this gives Malishka some hope.
As the episode progresses, the focus shifts to the Janmashtami celebrations. Harleen narrates a story about Lord Krishna’s birth to Rohan and Parvati. When Neelam forgets part of the story, Lakshmi steps in to continue, impressing everyone with her knowledge. The episode ends with Rohan and Parvati feeling inspired by the story of Lord Krishna.
