The episode of Gum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein on 12th September 2024 begins with an emotional conversation between Savi and Rajat. Savi reveals to Rajat that Sai is there to call him “Dad.” This revelation shocks Rajat, and he immediately responds, saying he is not Sai’s father. He explains that Sai is actually the daughter of Ashika and Harsh. He also reveals that he found out this truth during the Dahi Handi competition, which explains his changed behavior towards Sai recently. Savi, who had been confused by Rajat’s behavior, realizes this is the reason he has been acting distant.
The doctor soon arrives and begins a procedure for Rajat, who appears to be under some form of medical treatment. Afterward, Savi takes an intoxicated Rajat back home. Determined to uncover the truth about Sai’s real parents, Savi makes up her mind to investigate further and find out who Sai’s biological parents are.
The next day, Rajat comes home, visibly in pain and holding his chin. Bhagyashree, noticing his discomfort, questions him about how he got injured. Just as Bhagyashree inquires, Savi enters the scene and demands Rajat to explain what happened to him. Bhagyashree, now even more curious, urges Rajat to reveal how he got hurt. At this point, Bhagyashree notices that Savi is not wearing her bangles and believes that this is the reason Rajat is facing so many problems. She blames Savi for all the misfortunes that have befallen Rajat.
Savi, however, responds sharply. She informs Bhagyashree that she removed her bangles because of Rajat’s behavior and questions why certain customs and traditions only apply to women. Rajat, unwilling to engage in the conversation, makes a brief comment and leaves the scene. Raju, another family member, then requests Savi to wear the wedding bangles again for the sake of Bhagyashree’s happiness, and after some hesitation, Savi agrees to his request.
Meanwhile, Aman and Mrunmayi devise a plan to bring Savi and Rajat closer. They believe that a competition will help resolve their misunderstandings and create an opportunity for reconciliation. Aman suggests organizing the competition on Visarjan day and asks Shantanu to speak to Rajendra about the event. Shantanu agrees and asks Aman and Mrunmayi to handle the necessary arrangements. As they make plans, Aman mentions that he will head to the office, while Shantanu thanks him for guarding the Akhand Jyoti with Mrunmayi. During this conversation, Lucky, another character, overhears the discussion.
Later, at the dining table, Savi observes that Rajat and Sai share similar habits. This deepens her suspicion that Rajat might actually be Sai’s father, despite his doubts. Determined to prove her theory, Savi talks to Raju, who confirms that Sai is a carbon copy of Rajat. This fuels Savi’s resolve to conduct a DNA test to establish the truth. She forms a plan to collect DNA samples from both Rajat and Sai.
In the meantime, Harsh, who has his own agenda, expresses his love for Ashika by preparing her favorite breakfast. Ashika, surprised by his gesture, asks him what the occasion is. Harsh uses the opportunity to bring up how the issues between Kiyaan, Sai, and Rajat have been bothering him. He then asks Ashika to help him defeat Rajat once and for all, and Ashika agrees to join hands with him.
Savi cuts Sai’s nails, preparing for the DNA test. She then tries to get Rajat to cut his nails as well, but he throws them away. Frustrated, Savi decides to collect a hair sample instead. She sneaks into Rajat’s room and successfully gets a hair sample from his towel. Feeling victorious, Savi exclaims that she finally has what she needs.
However, just as she prepares to proceed with the test, Bhagyashree enters the room and misinterprets Savi’s actions. She sees the lemon, chilies, and hair in Savi’s possession and assumes that Savi is performing some kind of spell. Bhagyashree accuses Savi of controlling Raju through these means and declares that she will not allow the same to happen with Rajat. She takes the hair sample away from Savi.
Aman and Mrunmayi continue to discuss how Savi and Rajat could become a wonderful couple if they could just resolve their misunderstandings. Later, Savi asks Rajat to sleep, but Rajat brushes her off with a comment and leaves the room. Determined, Savi lowers the temperature of the air conditioner, causing Rajat to wrap himself in a quilt and leave his phone aside. Savi then sneaks up to Rajat and successfully collects a hair sample for the DNA test, despite his earlier attempts to avoid her.
Precap: In the precap, Savi confronts Rajat, stating that while she may not have given birth to Sai, she has never questioned her motherhood. She then accuses Rajat of doubting his fatherhood, even though he is Sai’s father. Savi hands him a file, asking him to check it, likely containing the results of the DNA test.
