The episode of Kumkum Bhagya 1st September 2024 begins with a conversation between Diya and Purvi. Diya attempts to calm Purvi, who is worried about the looming possibility of her divorce from RV becoming a reality. Diya assures Purvi that the divorce is fake, and there’s nothing to fear. However, Purvi remains anxious, wondering what would happen if the divorce were to become real.
Diya quickly dismisses these thoughts and reassures Purvi that her relationship with RV is strong. She points out that RV trusts Purvi deeply, which is why he signed the divorce papers, believing that she would find a way to protect him. Diya encourages Purvi to trust in herself and stay strong, helping Purvi wipe away her tears.
Meanwhile, RV is having a conversation with Neha. RV emphasizes that they aren’t married yet and, therefore, there’s no need to seek his family members’ blessings. However, Neha, undeterred, reminds him that their roka ceremony has already taken place. She tells RV that she won’t wait any longer and will ask Pandit ji to find the earliest mahurat (auspicious time) for their wedding. Dada Ji, observing the situation, advises Neha to consult the Pandit after returning home. Dadi tries to intervene, but Dada Ji stops her, making Neha and Monisha suspicious of his sudden change in behavior.
Dada Ji, however, continues to act supportive, asking Neha to focus on making RV happy. He instructs Yug to have the driver take Neha home, but Neha insists on going by herself and promises to inform them of the wedding date after consulting the Pandit. After Neha leaves, RV’s family members question Dada Ji about his sudden support for Neha. Dada Ji reveals that he is using reverse psychology to handle Neha, earning praise from Harman and Jaswant for his cleverness.
In a separate discussion, RV’s family members express their concerns that Neha might take advantage of any opportunity given to her. Purvi, however, confidently assures them that Neha will be exposed soon. Monisha, curious about Purvi’s plan, asks her how she intends to stop the marriage. Purvi, with conviction, responds that she trusts in God to guide her down the right path.
The scene shifts to Neha, who is intercepted by Jasbeer as she walks towards her home. Jasbeer insists that Neha get into his car before anyone sees them. Once inside, Jasbeer asks Neha if she managed to get Purvi and RV’s signatures on the divorce papers. Neha proudly shows him the signed documents.

Jasbeer, excited by the prospect of marrying Purvi, expresses his eagerness to provide her with the best life. Neha, puzzled by his devotion to Purvi despite her indifference towards him, questions his feelings. Jasbeer, in turn, sternly warns Neha not to speak ill of Purvi. As they continue their conversation, Monisha calls Neha, asking where she is. Neha lies, saying she is on her way home. Monisha then informs her that she will be coming to Neha’s house, leaving Neha worried.
Back at RV’s home, RV confides in Purvi that they signed the divorce papers to buy more time, but he is uncomfortable with how Neha is crossing boundaries by touching him. In response, Purvi quickly cleans RV’s hands with sanitizer, making a comment about Neha’s lack of values.
Monisha arrives at Neha’s house and is greeted by Jasbeer, who congratulates her on their success. However, Monisha is not pleased with Neha’s behavior towards RV and confronts her about it. She warns Neha not to play double games with her, but Neha rebukes Monisha, leading to a heated argument between the two. Jasbeer intervenes, trying to calm them down by reminding Monisha that Neha is just acting according to their plan.
However, Monisha, frustrated, tells Jasbeer to stay out of it, reminding him that she was the mastermind behind the plan and that it was she who brought Neha into the scheme. Jasbeer, refusing to back down, reminds Monisha that her initial plan was a failure and that it was he who brought Neha back to Mumbai to carry out their work. He emphasizes that they must remain united if they hope to succeed, otherwise, they will fail.
After calming down, Monisha clarifies to Neha that RV belongs to her, and Neha, uninterested, tells Monisha that she can have him.
Meanwhile, Purvi, deep in thought, recalls the recent events and runs into RV in their room. RV, sensing her unease, apologizes to her. Purvi opens up to RV, revealing that she overheard Neha talking to her boyfriend and that Neha has reconciled with him. She believes that Neha will not go through with the marriage and that this was the reason she signed the divorce papers. RV, taken aback, asks Purvi if she would have refused to sign the papers if she hadn’t overheard the conversation, to which Purvi replies affirmatively.
The episode ends with RV and Purvi contemplating the situation, both uncertain about what the future holds.
