The episode of Kumkum Bhagya 9th September 2024 starts with Harleen confiding in Dadi about her growing suspicions regarding Purvi. Harleen believes that Purvi has found some evidence against Neha and is planning to stop the engagement. As Harleen voices her concerns, Deepika overhears the conversation, which sparks her own worry.
Deepika immediately approaches Monisha and pulls her aside. She tells Monisha that Harleen is convinced Purvi has some kind of evidence against Neha and may try to disrupt the engagement. Deepika warns Monisha to stay cautious, but Monisha, calm and collected, assures her that there is nothing to worry about. Monisha confidently states that she has her eyes on Purvi and is monitoring the situation.
Meanwhile, Neha and Purvi make their way downstairs. Yug, who is working with Harman, informs him that the juice laced with the truth serum is ready. However, Yug expresses some concern, wondering what will happen if someone else drinks the juice instead of the intended target.
As the engagement preparations continue, Neha takes charge and tells RV that they should start the engagement ritual. She even calls for the Pandit to begin the ceremony. At this moment, Sahil takes the tray containing the juice mixed with the truth serum and approaches Neha. Diya, seeing this, warns Sahil that Neha has already rejected the drink once and is unlikely to drink it now. However, to everyone’s surprise, Neha insists on drinking the juice and consumes it. Yug, watching closely, believes that Neha has just ingested the truth serum. Sahil quietly reassures Neha, telling her that he will stay by her side and won’t leave her alone.
As the Pandit initiates the engagement ritual, he asks Neha and RV to exchange rings. Neha extends her hand, and RV slips the engagement ring onto her finger. However, Neha begins to feel dizzy. Despite her discomfort, she manages to pick up the ring and proceeds with the ritual. Monisha, who is keeping a close eye on the situation, reminds RV that he must first remove the ring he had earlier put on Purvi’s finger. RV obliges and takes off the ring from Purvi’s hand. Neha, looking unsteady, then places her engagement ring onto RV’s finger. Just as the ritual seems to be concluding, Neha suddenly collapses. Fortunately, Purvi is quick to act and catches her before she hits the ground.
Harleen, shocked by what just transpired, quickly asks what has happened to Neha. Yug steps in and informs everyone that Neha has lost consciousness. Deepika, concerned, wonders how Neha could have fainted so suddenly. Meanwhile, Monisha notices Sahil lurking nearby in disguise and immediately recognizes him. She discreetly pulls Sahil aside, with Jasbeer following them closely behind.
Trying to reassure the anxious crowd, RV tells everyone that Neha is probably just tired and suggests taking her to a guest room to rest. Purvi agrees to assist, and together with RV, they carry Neha away from the crowd. As the men start to leave the function, Harleen and Dadi question their actions. Dadi reminds them that they still have guests to attend to. Dadaji, stepping up, announces to the guests that the engagement ceremony is over and they are free to leave. Harleen apologizes to the guests and encourages them to enjoy the meal before departing.
Once the guests are gone, Harleen and Dadi pressure Harman and Dadaji to explain what is happening. Harman finally admits that it’s time to reveal the truth to everyone. He calls for all the family members to gather in Harleen’s room.
Meanwhile, Monisha confronts Sahil about his disguise and demands to know why he is there. Sahil tries to play innocent, claiming not to know her and questioning how she recognized him. Eventually, Sahil admits he knows Jasbeer and accuses him of trying to stop the engagement. However, Jasbeer denies any interest in Neha or the engagement. Monisha, growing impatient, threatens Sahil, warning him to leave or she will call the police. She even goes so far as to say that not even Neha will be able to save him this time. Jasbeer agrees with Monisha, urging Sahil to leave, promising that Neha will explain everything later. Reluctantly, Sahil leaves the scene.
In the meantime, Purvi and RV have taken Neha to a private room and set up a camera, hoping to record her confession. RV, desperate for answers, questions Neha about why she framed him. However, in her drowsy state, Neha struggles to give clear answers. Purvi suggests giving her some water to help her regain consciousness. While RV leaves to fetch the water, Purvi decides to check Neha’s identification. To her shock, Purvi discovers that Neha had lied about her identity. Purvi confronts her, demanding to know who she really is and why she lied. In her vulnerable state, Neha admits that she is actually a bar dancer.
Back in Harleen’s room, the women confront the men, scolding them for keeping them in the dark about their plan. Dadaji explains that they feared discussing the plan would cause it to fail. Harleen, still worried, asks how they plan to make Neha confess the truth. Yug explains that they have already administered the truth serum to Neha and that her confession is being recorded. Deepika, hearing this, grows increasingly anxious, while Harleen feels relieved, confident that RV will soon be proven innocent. Deepika, feeling cornered, decides to inform Monisha about Purvi and RV’s plan.
The episode ends with Purvi asking Neha one final question: does she truly want to marry RV? Neha’s faint response is a simple, “No.”
