The episode of Mangal Lakshmi on September 21, 2024, begins with Mangal confronting Kusum. Mangal questions Kusum about why she allowed Sowmya to be a part of the wedding preparations, especially since Kusum was the one who threw her out of the house earlier. Kusum responds calmly and asks why Mangal is worried about Sowmya’s presence. She reminds Mangal that Sowmya is a colleague of Adit. If Sowmya doesn’t attend Adit’s wedding, it might cause gossip. Kusum clarifies that she allowed Sowmya to attend only to avoid rumors.

Kusum then asks Mangal if she trusts her. Mangal responds that she not only trusts Kusum but sees her as a god-like figure. Kusum reassures Mangal, saying that she is Mangal’s strength, and there is nothing to worry about.

Later, Akshat gathers the family and announces that Mangal and Adit will be playing a game. In this game, Mangal has to find her name written in Adit’s mehndi, and Adit must do the same with her mehndi. As the game begins, Shanti notices Sowmya standing on the side, looking bored. To engage her, Shanti invites Sowmya to come along for some fun.

Shanti takes Sowmya to the kitchen and asks her to pound the flour. Sowmya, feeling unsure, admits she doesn’t know how to do it. However, Shanti offers to teach her, and Sowmya agrees to give it a try. With Shanti’s instructions, Sowmya pounds the wheat flour successfully.

Meanwhile, Mangal finds her name in Adit’s mehndi, and Akshat declares her the winner of the game. Kusum then turns to Adit, asking him to focus on finding his name in Mangal’s mehndi. Adit concentrates and manages to find his name, completing the game successfully.

After finishing with the flour, Sowmya gives it to Shanti. Shanti then asks her to boil some potatoes. While boiling them on the stove, Sowmya accidentally burns her hand and spills the hot water and potatoes onto the floor. Adit, who notices this, quickly steps in and warns Sowmya to be more careful. He points out that Mangal frequently visits the kitchen, and she could easily get hurt because of the accident. Mangal, overhearing this conversation, realizes that Adit is saying this intentionally for her benefit. Mangal then tells Sowmya to leave the kitchen, saying that she will ask someone else to clean up the mess.

Sowmya agrees and leaves. Meanwhile, she and Adit continue exchanging messages, signaling that they have some kind of connection. As the preparations continue, Kusum announces that Adit will be spending the night at Gayatri’s house. Adit is confused and asks why this is necessary. Kusum explains that according to their traditions, the bride and groom should not see each other after the mehndi ceremony until the wedding day. She adds that all the men in the house will go with Adit to Gayatri’s house and return the next day for the wedding. Akshat agrees with this plan.

As the arrangements are being made, Sowmya says she will also leave, but Kusum and Shanti ask her to stay back. Shanti insists that Sowmya should stay to help her with the final preparations. Sowmya reluctantly agrees to stay.

While returning to Gayatri’s house, Lakshmi realizes that she has misplaced her phone. She asks Karthik, who is driving, to turn the car around and go back. But before they return, Lakshmi finds her phone inside her purse. As they continue driving, Lakshmi notices a man peeking into Adit’s house. She asks the man who he is, and he explains that he is a saree seller. He says he saw the house and assumed there was a function happening, so he stopped by to sell sarees.

Lakshmi is curious and checks his collection. She is shocked to see that he has a saree exactly like the one Adit gifted to Mangal. The man says the saree only costs Rs 300. Lakshmi becomes suspicious and starts to wonder if Adit lied about buying the saree from Chandni Chowk, as he had previously claimed.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Kusum places the bridal dress in front of God, hoping for a smooth and trouble-free wedding. Sowmya notices the bridal dress, and the episode ends on this note.

This episode shows a lot of brewing tension and some developing suspicions, hinting that the upcoming wedding might not be as smooth as everyone hopes.
