On Thursday, tensions escalated in a heated exchange between Lakshmi and Adit, leading to unexpected consequences. Lakshmi confronted Adit about his behavior, accusing him of crossing limits and mistreating Mangal. “This is a crime, Adit. You could go to jail for this,” Lakshmi said. Adit, growing more irritated, responded sharply, telling her to stay out of it. Mangal tried to intervene, asking Lakshmi to stop, but Lakshmi refused. “I won’t stay silent anymore,” she declared, standing her ground. Lakshmi was furious that Mangal continued to support Adit despite everything he had done.
During the confrontation, Soumya thanked Lakshmi for standing up for her sister, while Lakshmi reminded Adit of his promise to always keep Mangal happy. But Adit was in no mood to listen. “I won’t tolerate this anymore,” he shouted and stormed off. Mangal tried to calm Lakshmi, saying Adit had been under a lot of stress lately and wouldn’t hurt her intentionally. However, Lakshmi noticed Mangal’s bleeding hand and questioned how she could defend him when the evidence was right there. Mangal brushed it off, claiming the injury was from a broken bangle.
As the drama unfolded, Lakshmi and Karthik decided to leave. On their way out, a veiled woman approached Lakshmi, asking if she could borrow her phone to call her husband. Lakshmi handed over her phone and left, unaware that the woman was actually Soumya, who had a sinister plan in mind. “Now, she will see what I can do,” Soumya muttered under her breath after making the call.
Back at home, Adit tried to explain his actions to Mangal, insisting he was just stressed about work. But Lakshmi couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right. She worried about Adit’s true intentions, wondering why his behavior kept changing. Just then, the police arrived at the house, asking if Adit was home. Kusum, Adit’s mother, was confused and asked why they were there. The inspector revealed that Adit was being arrested on charges of domestic violence, leaving everyone in shock.
Mangal was devastated and insisted that Adit had done nothing wrong. She told the inspector that she was Adit’s wife and the supposed victim, but the inspector replied that the complaint came from Mangal’s sister, Lakshmi. Kusum and Mangal couldn’t believe it, both swearing that Lakshmi would never file such a complaint. But the inspector confirmed the phone number used for the report was Lakshmi’s, leaving Mangal heartbroken.
As the police checked Mangal’s wrists for injuries, they found cuts from the broken bangles, further fueling the accusation. Adit was furious and accused Lakshmi of being after him for a long time. “She’s always interrogating me, always questioning me,” Adit shouted as the police prepared to take him away. Mangal and Kusum pleaded with the officers, but it was too late.
The neighbors gathered around, gossiping about how Adit had been abusive all along and how the family had staged their happy marriage as a cover-up. Adit, feeling humiliated, told Kusum, “See how much I’ve had to suffer because of Mangal.” As the police took Adit away in their van, Mangal ran after them, crying, while Kusum stood in disbelief.
Meanwhile, Soumya, still in disguise, watched the whole scene unfold with satisfaction. “Happy anniversary, Mangal,” she whispered to herself, knowing she had successfully ruined everything.
Later, Lakshmi, unaware of the chaos, was with Karthik, who had planned a surprise date to cheer her up. She was too upset to enjoy the meal, but Karthik insisted, trying to distract her from the day’s events. But their peaceful moment was interrupted when Kusum and Mangal arrived, demanding to know why Lakshmi had filed the police complaint. Lakshmi, shocked, denied everything. “I didn’t file any complaint,” she said, as Karthik and Gayatri watched in confusion.
Karthik explained that Lakshmi had been with him the entire time, making it impossible for her to have made the call. But Kusum was too angry to listen, accusing Lakshmi of ruining their family and getting Adit arrested. Lakshmi repeatedly denied the accusations, insisting she would never do such a thing. Mangal, torn between her sister and her husband, told Lakshmi she believed her but was still confused about why the police had taken Lakshmi’s name.
In an attempt to clear the misunderstanding, Karthik suggested they go to the police station together to resolve the issue. But for Kusum, the damage was done. Her son was in jail, and she blamed Lakshmi for it.
As the episode ended, the tension between the sisters and the family remained high, with no clear resolution in sight.
