In today’s episode of Mangal Lakshmi 9th September 2024, the tension continues to build between the characters, revealing more secrets and drama. The episode begins with Mangal confronting Kusum about her sudden disappearance. Mangal asks where Kusum had been, suspecting something unusual. Kusum, feeling defensive, replies that she had gone out to handle some urgent work. However, Mangal’s persistent questioning irritates Kusum, who then asks why Mangal is acting like a detective.
Mangal expresses that, for the first time, she feels a difference in their thinking. She confronts Kusum about why she went to meet Sowmya. Mangal reminds her that earlier, Kusum had called her but never ended the call, which allowed Mangal to overhear her conversation with Sowmya. Kusum explains that Sowmya has been working with Adit, and she is concerned that Sowmya might negatively influence Adit at the office. In an attempt to prevent this, Kusum decided to arrange Sowmya’s marriage to her boyfriend. Hearing this, Mangal agrees that Kusum’s concern might be valid but comments that it is still a complicated situation.
Meanwhile, Sowmya is feeling cornered by Kusum’s insistence that she introduce her boyfriend. Frustrated, Sowmya complains to Adit about Kusum’s pressure. She urges Adit to tell Kusum the truth about their relationship, but Adit reassures her that Kusum will meet her boyfriend soon. This leaves Sowmya worried, thinking Adit will reveal their secret to Kusum.
In a separate scene, Karthik and Lakshmi face a troubling situation when a traffic constable stops their car, accusing Karthik of breaking a traffic signal. Karthik argues, insisting he didn’t violate any traffic rules. Lakshmi, observing the situation closely, notices something suspicious about the constable. She realizes that the constable’s uniform appears rented, raising her suspicion further. Suddenly, the fake constable signals a thief, who quickly steals some jewelry.
Lakshmi immediately notices the thief and shouts for Karthik’s help. Karthik chases the thief and manages to recover the stolen jewelry, while Lakshmi confronts the fake traffic constable. However, the fake constable escapes, leaving Lakshmi and Karthik determined to file a police complaint about the incident.
Back at home, Adit finds himself in a light-hearted moment when he slips and falls into the mud while on the phone. Mangal rushes to help Adit, but she too ends up slipping into the mud. The humorous situation is made worse when Ishana starts recording a video of their struggle, enjoying the spectacle. Meanwhile, Kusum arrives at the scene, finding Adit and Mangal’s predicament amusing, and laughs at their struggle. Akshat, feeling guilty, apologizes to Adit, explaining that his project caused the mud mess.
Later, Sowmya thanks Kusum for inviting her to the family gathering despite their recent disagreements. Kusum, still curious, asks Sowmya about her boyfriend and when he will arrive. Sowmya assures her that her boyfriend will come soon. Moments later, Adit announces that Sowmya’s boyfriend, Daksh, has arrived, leaving Kusum stunned. In a flashback, it is revealed that Adit had hired Daksh to pretend to be Sowmya’s boyfriend for the day, and Daksh had agreed to play along.
Daksh greets Adit’s family, engaging in conversations with them. At this point, Karthik and Lakshmi arrive at the house and recount to Mangal how they narrowly avoided being robbed earlier. Hearing their story, Daksh grows anxious, fearing that Karthik and Lakshmi might recognize him as the fake cop who attempted to steal their jewelry.
Trying to hide his identity, Daksh pretends to have sindhur (vermillion) smeared on his face and excuses himself to the washroom to clean it. His real intention is to escape without being identified. He attempts to flee by jumping off the balcony, but Lakshmi stops him just in time, recognizing him as the fake cop from earlier. In a desperate move, Daksh pushes Lakshmi aside and makes his escape.
Sowmya, now in a panic, asks Adit why he can’t just tell everyone the truth about their relationship. Adit explains that he has no choice but to continue with the plan. However, his plan starts to unravel when he receives a call from Daksh, informing him that he has fled the scene. Adit breaks the news to Sowmya, telling her that Lakshmi has recognized Daksh and that their secret is in danger of being exposed.
As the episode comes to a close, Lakshmi makes up her mind to reveal the truth about Daksh to everyone. Meanwhile, Sowmya is filled with dread, knowing that their situation is quickly spiraling out of control. The tension builds as Kusum slowly begins to piece things together, and the precap teases that Kusum will soon discover the affair between Adit and Sowmya.
