The episode of September 20, 2024, begins with the entire Maheswari family confused as they search for Sagar, who has gone missing from his room. Koel is furious and accuses Sagar of betraying her. Saraswati steps in and takes Koel away, hoping to calm her down. Meanwhile, the scene shifts to Vedika and Sagar, who are seen in an office.
Vedika mocks Sagar for failing to invite his employee. She then signs a paper, sealing their fate for the time being. Both Sagar and Vedika agree that until their objectives are achieved, they will remain in a contractual marriage. It’s clear that neither of them is happy with the situation, as both express disappointment and dislike for each other.
Their conversation shifts to the clauses in their contract, which leads to a minor argument. They bicker over some trivial terms in the agreement. Vedika firmly tells Sagar that she is only going through with this marriage to save her mother. She then asks Sagar for his decision. Sagar, though reluctant, says that he also agrees to this arrangement because he wants to uncover who is plotting against Saraswati.
They come to a mutual understanding that once their goals are fulfilled, they will divorce. Despite this, Sagar is visibly hurt by the idea of divorcing Vedika, as he had always dreamed of a real marriage with her. Vedika admits that she once had the same dream too, but their current situation has changed everything.
As they finish signing the contract, a peon congratulates them both. Sagar and Vedika, still in their tense mood, congratulate each other as well, reminding each other of their contractual obligations. Just then, Vedika receives a call from Inspector Khan. She thanks him for the information, and Sagar immediately inquires about what Khan said. Vedika informs him that they can end this marriage soon as her work is nearing completion. Sagar, though visibly upset and hurt, hides his emotions from her.
Back at the Maheswari house, Rajeshwari is seen inquiring about Sagar’s whereabouts from the police commissioner. She expresses her disappointment over not being able to find him. Meanwhile, Digvijay questions Kamal about their failure to locate Sagar with their men. Kamal insists that Sagar wouldn’t do something like this, but Koel disagrees. She is devastated and accuses Sagar of abandoning her right before their marriage. In her frustration, Koel starts to lose control, and the rest of the family, including Saraswati, try to calm her down.
Soon after, Vedika and Sagar arrive at the Maheswari house as a newlywed couple. Lolly is the first to see them and is utterly shocked. She rushes to inform the rest of the family. Everyone is stunned to see Sagar and Vedika together, having just gotten married. Koel, Saraswati, and the other family members confront Sagar, demanding to know why he married Vedika. Sagar remains silent as Koel lashes out at him, accusing him of betrayal. Subhadra steps in, reminding Sagar that it was his decision to marry Koel and asks why he changed his mind.
Vedika steps forward and tells everyone that Sagar has learned the truth, though this confuses everyone. Saraswati asks Vedika what truth she’s referring to, but Vedika ignores the question and tells them that she was the one who made Sagar elope with her. Sagar then reveals that he loves Vedika, even though she isn’t the real Jahnvi. However, Koel refuses to accept their marriage and demands that Sagar get rid of Vedika. The entire family sides with Koel, supporting her stance. Saraswati, too, expresses her disappointment in Vedika.
Things escalate when Vedika threatens to file a legal case against the family for not accepting her as their daughter-in-law. She even warns that Sagar could end up in jail if they refuse to acknowledge their marriage. The family is left in shock by Vedika’s bold threats. Vedika then demands that Rajeshwari perform her griha pravesh, but Rajeshwari criticizes her harshly and refuses to allow her into the house.
In the precap, things take a darker turn as Digvijay and his men are seen kidnapping both Vedika and Koel, leaving the fate of the Maheswari family hanging in the balance.
