On the 3rd September 2024 episode of “Suman Indori,” the story unfolds with a bustling atmosphere in the local vegetable market. An old man urgently requests Suman to visit the market as soon as possible, hinting at some trouble. Without hesitation, Suman nods and makes her way there.
Upon arriving, she discovers a heated argument between the vegetable seller and the customers. The seller is adamant about not reducing the price of potatoes, citing the recent heavy rains as the reason for the price hike. He explains that the rains have severely affected the farmers, and they are struggling to cope with the situation. The customers, however, are not satisfied with his explanation and continue to argue, demanding a lower price.
Suman, ever the pragmatic thinker, steps in to mediate. She sides with the vegetable seller, acknowledging the truth in his claims. She explains to the crowd that due to the ongoing heavy rains, the seller has to bear extra costs, including higher payments for drivers. Her stance surprises the old man who called her, as he expected her to support the customers. However, Suman is committed to fairness and advises the crowd to stop buying potatoes if they find the price too high.
The people, puzzled, question how they can avoid buying potatoes, a staple ingredient for their chat. Suman, quick-witted as ever, suggests a clever alternative—using bananas instead. She assures them that with their special masala, the difference in taste will be negligible. Her suggestion is practical and innovative, reflecting her resourcefulness.
Realizing that his potatoes might go to waste, the vegetable seller reluctantly agrees to lower the prices. Suman, satisfied with the outcome, asks him to pack a small quantity for her as well. After paying him, she heads to the temple.
At the temple, the priest notices Suman’s arrival and humorously inquires if she was busy with some political activity. Suman denies this with a smile, and the priest hands her some cow dung, instructing her to pray to Lord Ganesh. He advises her to draw a swastik and assures her that her wishes will be granted.
Meanwhile, Teerth, another significant character, arrives at the temple, and everyone greets him warmly. The priest subtly suggests to Suman that she should pray for a good partner, someone who would support and love her unconditionally.
Teerth, taking the priest’s advice, begins to draw the swastik as part of his prayer. However, he accidentally drops the cow dung and goes to fetch more. During this moment, Suman, unknowingly crosses paths with him, and her dupatta briefly covers his face. She notices the incomplete swastik and, with a kind heart, completes it, silently asking God to fulfill the wish behind it. Teerth returns and, seeing his swastik completed, prays for his wish to be granted first.
Later, Suman returns to her store, where she begins preparing her famous chat. Malini, a close acquaintance, arrives and praises her culinary skills. The customers, thoroughly enjoying her special chat masala, are a testament to her talent. While Suman is busy, Teerth is seen reprimanding a person for littering, emphasizing the importance of keeping Indore clean.
His passionate stance impresses Suman, though she does not express it openly. Malini, however, notices Rishi, Suman’s brother, recording the scene on his phone. She warns Suman, urging her to scold Rishi for his growing interest in politics, which she despises. Suman, who has always been against Rishi’s involvement in politics, reluctantly agrees.
Teerth, satisfied with his video, instructs Rishi to upload it online at 6 PM, anticipating a wave of support. Rishi admits that he left the scene because his sister, Suman, was there. Teerth jokingly suggests that with his good looks and status as a politician, no one could resist him, not even his sister. However, Rishi knows better—Suman’s aversion to politics is so strong that she might even resort to throwing slippers at them.
As Suman and Malini head home, Suman notices Rishi trailing behind. Despite their estranged relationship, there remains an unspoken bond between them. Malini encourages Suman to talk to Rishi, but Suman, determined to keep him away from politics, avoids it.
Back at home, Suman is deeply affected when she overhears a neighbor scolding her mother. Holding back her emotions, she completes her household chores before taking her younger sister, Boomi, to school. On the way, Devika, another character, drives past recklessly, dirtying Boomi’s uniform. Suman, always protective, helps Boomi clean up and confronts Devika. An argument ensues, but Suman stands her ground, giving a fitting reply to Devika’s insults.
The episode ends with a strong emphasis on Suman’s determination, resourcefulness, and the complex dynamics between the characters, setting the stage for more drama and conflict in the episodes to come.
