Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 7th September 2024 Written Update: Today’s episode starts with Abhira making a grand entrance, dancing to the beats of the band. Her energetic dance brings joy to the entire family, but Manish is visibly disturbed by the scene. Abhira, understanding the situation, approaches Manish. She says respectfully, “You are elder to me, Daadi Sa, so I expect both love and understanding from you.” Manish, however, remains stern and asks, “Where did the money come from for all this?” At this moment, Armaan steps in and responds, “We took out a loan. Where else would the money come from?”
However, Abhira quickly corrects him, saying, “No, Armaan. My loan hasn’t been approved yet.” Manish questions her again about the money source. Abhira then reveals, “This function will be done with the money from my parents.” She further explains that she received a call from a family friend who informed her that her mother had been saving money for her future every month, and she has now received the returns from that savings. Kabir adds, “I kept my promise, Daadi Sa.”
The whole family gets ready for the event. Everyone is excited and pleased with the decorations. Abhira proudly announces that she has invited her grandfather (Manish ji) to the function. Upon hearing this, Ruhi becomes uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Abhira and Armaan leave to bring a photo of Abhira’s parents. As they return with the photo, Ruhi suddenly complains of a headache and leaves for her room, missing the moment when the picture is shown to everyone. Abhira then introduces her parents to the family, saying, “These are my parents, Akshara and Abhinav Sharma.”
Manish, despite his initial reservations, offers his blessings to Abhira, placing a garland on the photo and saying, “May the blessings of Akshara ji and Abhinav ji always remain with you.” One by one, the other family members also pay their respects in a similar way.
Kavya, feeling uncertain, asks Abhira, “Dear, how do we do this pooja? We don’t know the rituals, can you show us?” Abhira, at that moment, feels the absence of her own family and becomes emotional. Just then, her Manish ji makes his entry, standing next to the photo, but he doesn’t get the chance to see it. As he is about to notice the picture, Kavya calls him away. Abhira walks her grandfather back to the gathering.
The ritual of Nath-wearing begins, and Kavya is about to start it when Abhira suddenly stops her and says, “Wait, Maa!” Kavya, concerned, asks, “What happened, Abhira? Did I make a mistake?” Abhira reassures her, “No, Maa. You haven’t done anything wrong. I was just thinking that since this Nath-wearing ritual was started by my mother, why not let Daadi Sa perform it first?”
The ritual begins, and as Manish wears the Nath, Abhira makes a request, “Daadi Sa, if I win today, then we will never discuss that contract again.” As the rituals continue, the entire family participates, bringing a sense of togetherness and happiness.
Abhira, while trying to light a lamp, struggles. At this point, her Manish ji steps in and helps her. Abhira recalls their first meeting and says, “Manish ji, this reminds me of the first time we met.” Manish ji responds, “Yes, sometimes it feels like we have known each other for lifetimes, even if we’ve only met once.”
He then questions her, “How did you manage all of this? Did your loan get approved?” Abhira replies, “No, Manish ji. The loan didn’t get approved, but my mother had invested some money long ago, and that’s how everything is happening.”
Manish ji, puzzled, asks, “But one thing I don’t understand—this Nath-wearing ceremony is a Himachali tradition. What’s the connection here?” Abhira then explains, “My father, Papa, was from Kasauli.” Hearing this, Manish is taken aback, unable to believe what he’s hearing. He then nervously asks, “And your mother?” Abhira, also curious about her past, replies, “I asked her about our family many times, but she never shared anything with me. She always avoided the topic.” Manish, more curious than ever, inquires, “What was her name?”
Just as Abhira is about to answer, the children rush in, causing a distraction. They drag Abhira away, leaving Manish without the answer he so desperately seeks.
As the family rejoices and the celebration continues with dancing, Abhira accidentally bumps into Ruhi. This marks the end of the episode, leaving the audience in suspense.
In the precap, Ruhi angrily confronts Manish, asking, “Why are you here?” Manish calmly responds, “Beta, it’s a family function. Of course, I had to come.” Ruhi, however, remains upset, saying, “This is Abhira’s function. She’s your priority now.” Manish tries to calm her down, saying, “Abhira is your sister-in-law, beta.” But Ruhi, still fuming, snaps back, “So what? Do you want me to fall at her feet? I don’t want to hear anything more about her, and you will not attend this wedding!” The scene closes with Manish finally seeing Akshara’s photo, his expression filled with shock and realization.
